In May 2020, My mother was living at the Pines at Whiting in a lovely independent living apartment. She loved her apartment and everything about living at the Pines. She did not like being isolated by the Covid-19 pandemic. She found the pain she was in no longer bearable. She stopped eating and moving about which resulted in her placement in hospice care. It came as a surprise to me. I was summoned to her apartment and signed the paperwork needed to get her the help she needed. No one could tell me how this would play out. I was advised not to put her in Hamilton (which is the nursing care facility connected with the Pines) due to the chaos that Covid-19 wrecking there at that time. I could not leave her alone in her apartment.
NR Home Health Care came highly recommended by everyone at the Pines from the in-house clinical nurse to the CEO. Aurel came with a lovely young lady who would assist me in giving my mother the care she needed. Hani was a Godsend. She was there for me and my mother 24/7. She was a comfort to me, and competently cared for my mother. I was able to go home and sleep in my own bed knowing that Hani would call me if anything happened. Sadly, my mother didn't last very long. She passed within two weeks. Even in my sorrow, Hani and Aurel were there for me. Aurel helped prepare my mother's body for transport to the funeral home. She went way above and beyond. I am grateful for the services provided to me my mother and my family by the wonderful staff at NR Home Health Care. I highly recommend them to anyone needing assistance caring for a loved one.
We would like to thank you for the excellent care my mother received from your company. The aid, Rose, was gentle, caring, thoughtful, and a perfect match for our mother during this difficult time. It was comforting to know that Rose was there every weekday caring for our mother. She kept in contact with us and never hesitated to let us know of any concerns she was having. Having her reach out to us made us feel comfortable calling her with our concerns about Mom. We added information whenever we were there during the weekend so that Rose was able to see how mom was doing over the weekend.
